It’s easy to forget how much happens at EWU because of our community partners and their support. The College Success Foundation has been instrumental in Eastern’s success, over the past decade. We are proud to honor them with the 2013 Organization of Excellence Award.
This award recognizes those organizations that have furthered the success of Eastern by:
The College Success Foundation was founded spring of 2000 by Bob Craves and Ann Ramsay-Jenkins to provide college scholarships and mentoring to low-income, high-potential students.
- Demonstrating outstanding dedication to supporting EWU in achieving its mission
- Providing support with enthusiasm and excitement.
- Being dedicated to enhancing the experience or education of Eastern students.
It is no exaggeration to say that they’ve transformed higher education in our state. CSF has shown how focused scholarships can improve graduation rates among low-income students. They’ve given thousands of Washington students opportunities to attend college and pursue their dreams.
The group has crafted a vision that people like Bill Gates and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Jeff Brotman and Jim Sinegal from Costco Wholesale, have supported.
Since 2002, the College Success Foundation has awarded 548 scholarships worth nearly $10 million to EWU students. If you are faculty or staff at EWU, you’ve worked with at least one student whose life has been transformed by the opportunity to attend college. You don’t know who they are. You can’t tell by looking at them. You don’t even know where they came from, but chances are, each and every one of those students’ stories would make you proud to to be an Eagle.
Thank you College Success Foundation for all that you do at EWU and for all of the students across the state.
Congratulations, College Success Foundation!
